Press Box PR is proud to reveal that Jack Watson, Head of Creative and Content, has been included in PRWeek’s 30 Under 30 2023 list

Jack spent three years working as a sports journalist at The Independent before joining Press Box in the agency’s infancy in January 2020 without a day’s experience in PR and has since grown with the agency to play a leading role in some of our biggest campaigns.

Jack quickly established an ability to generate top-level national coverage through his book of media contacts and rose through the ranks to become clients’ go-to contact as an Accout Director and is now the agency’s Head of Creative and Content.

At the age of 23 and just a few months into his new career, he managed the press office for Betfair for the US election and secured a market-leading share of voice for the biggest betting event in history.

Jack ideated, designed and executed a real life horse race to predict the outcome of the 2022 World Cup for Betfair and Haydock Park racecrouse and secured widespread coverage online and in print, as well as successfully pitching the content to ITV to include as part of their live coverage.

Earlier this year, Jack and his colleagues successfully ran a campaign with the Government of Western Australia and their ‘Build a new life in WA’ campaign, securing coverage for the minister on Good Morning Britain, Radio 4 and a Daily Star front page splash, while putting on three events in three countries over seven days - ultimately driving 50,000 enquiries for job vacancies from Brits.

Jack’s development is the latest benefit of Press Box’s successful strategy of developing both experienced and budding journalists into top level PRs that can deliver global campaigns and work with some of the biggest brands. This unique approach to PR gives us unrivalled industry connections and media insight, and our clients love it as we are sure we only create content that publishers love.

Press Box PR managing director and founder Alex Donohue said: “Press Box PR is really proud of its proven track record of developing journalists into top level industry professionals and Jack’s achievements are the latest example of that.

“We’re delighted that Jack’s achievements are being recognised by industry leaders and that Press Box is an agency where the most talented people can excel regardless of their experience or background.”

Jack said: “I’m really proud to be named in PRWeeks 30 Under 30 list alongside some really talented PR professionals from some huge agencies and brands.

“Three years ago I hadn’t worked a day in PR and the fact that I’m now being named among the best young professionals in the business is a huge testament to the support and opportunities available to me at Press Box.

“Press Box looks very different from the three-person agency we started in 2020 but our success and values haven’t changed and I’m really excited about whats to come.”

Press Box PR always has our doors open to journalists and PR pros looking for their next move. If you'd like to know more, please introduce yourself to Jack (jack.watson@pressboxpr.co.uk) or Alex (alex.donohue@pressboxpr.co.uk).
