Sportsbook Review wanted to drive brand awareness and build backlinks in international media, with a focus on North American titles.
Strategy
PBPR devised a project plan which targeted securing an athlete who would appeal to sports fans internationally in order to gain more media interest and more media coverage.
Activation
The team sourced, conducted and filmed an exclusive interview with sporting icon, Francis Ngannou, at his home in Paris. The media relations team strategically distributed the content to its network of journalists in the US, UK and worldwide across combat sports and news media. Ngannou's status as an elite athlete opened up interest from tier 1 titles internationally.
Results
The interview went viral, globally, offering huge returns for the client. Coverage and backlinks included Daily Mail (92 DA), CNN Brazil (84 DA), Sports Illustrated (88 DA), DAZN (82 DA), Daily Express US (61 DA) and GOAL (84 DA).
The video content also drew huge engagement via social and multimedia channels while aligning the brand with one of the most famous figures in sport and popular culture.
