To raise the profile of Europe’s premier MMA promotion OKTAGON MMA and boost interest in the sport, in order to drive fans to OKTAGON's pan-European arena events.
Strategy
Press Box PR's core media strategy centres around telling the fighters’ stories. By raising the profile of OKTAGON's talent roster, their star pulling power attracts new fans to the sport and boosts ticket sales to live fight nights.
Activation
Press Box PR's ongoing press office includes creating thumb-stopping social media and media content with individual fighters such as Losene Keita and Shem Rock. The press office function also arranges star fighters to be interviewed by pan-European press, with a heavy focus on the UK sports media.
Press Box PR facilitates and participates in monthly media trips to fight nights across Europe, as well as organising press conferences, open workouts and BTS access for media.
Results
In just 12 months, PBPR has generated a staggering 600+ articles and circa 70 million coverage views for OKTAGON MMA in top-tier nationals and sports press, including SPORTbible, talkSPORT, GQ, Mail Online and BBC Sport. Of these articles, 80%+ have included a link to OKTAGON's website or call to action to book tickets.
Most importantly, PBPR broke attendance records for every one of this year’s UK events with all other European events selling out.
